8-year-old boy with ALL, replase twice for the past two years. He will die in 6 months if no chemotherapy. But has unknown prognosis with chemotherapy. His parents refuse to continue chemotherapy. And the child is happy to go home. What can you do ? And Why?(Thanks)
A) Discharge the child against medical advice
B) Discharge the child routinely
C) go to the court for order for treatment.

Till 18,parents takes dicision on behalf of children.
Additionally you have nothing to offer in this case.
Had it been a curable disease , court order would have been appropriate.

i'll go for C.

without the treatment the child is sure to die and physician has to take a decision against the wishes of the parents if their choice is limb/life threatening for the child.

even if u treat him the prgnosis unknown
and u can't give him alot
cuase the disease is almost untreatable

right, i got this wrong too...the rule of best interests standard is the exception for the rule that parents cannot withold life saving Rx. but now this concept is more clear to me. thanks.
