I had this question in the exam. I don't remember all the choices though. The nitro bottles are smaller as compared to other medicine bottles, why?

Well lets wait what other friends have to say. Believe me this was the question. I forgot the other options, but I know what I chose was, EASY FOR THE PATIENT TO IDENTIFY.

But I know it is not the correct answer. It has to do something with its structural stability or something. I am not sure..... I need help.

as far as I could remember from my school knowledge I think the bottle is dark coloured to prevent it to expose it to the sunlight which causes degradation of nitroglycerine...

pl let me know if I m right..

thanks

You guys are right regarding the color of the bottle. The question here is of the size. I don't have a clue about the significance of its small size.

Is it to fill upto the brim to exclude air ???

thanks

Hey I asked the Pharmacy guy about the significance of the small size of the bottle. And the answer he gave was: For the ease of the patient to carry.

Nothing to do with volatile nature of nito or moisture. He said it is just to make it hand for the patient to carry all time.
