doc179,

You are correct. I am sure about D, but stomach emptying requires Ach secretion from the Parasym. Does this mean that Sym and Parasym are not counted in extrinisic inervation?

extrinsic is the one which is under our control . ANS is not under our control

Extrinsic mean that Organ need external control . I dont think so that its autonomic control. Suppose we cut the Autonomic nerve supply to the heart ... what will happened to heart?? It will beat at its own pace maker rate.

I will go for D as when food enter the intestine I will cause distension and will lead to the secretion of local GIT hormone and also local autonomic stimulation ie myenteric plexus.

Now confusing part which causes stomach emptying ? cant think about it right now if someone know factor helping in the stomach emptying plz clerify... thanks

u said it urself star1...dilation causes secretion of local hormones and hence motility.

the prob here is stomach also has vagal innervation....so it is innervated externally...
