dear doctors I need your advise,
I'm an FMG my dream is to match in radiology.
I have 5 years gape(2002)graduate.I got 95 in step1,aiming for higher score in step2.if I can finish CS and CK before sept,and apply for 2007 without USCE and with weak LORS from my home country,do you think there will be any chance to match in radiology? or should I wait for 2008 match and do some externship and research during this year and try to get LOR from us doctors.I know it's alomost impossible to match in radiology if I applied without USCE and strong LORS,but if I got those and apply for 2008 is there a good chance to match or it will be still impossible?

nothin is impossible. i believe a guy in this forum matched into radio with psychi lors!! but ur visa status will affect a lot. i suggest tryin for 2008 with s3 and 1 yr research

or you could get into a prelim spot in 2007 (provided u dont have visa issues) and then pray for a r2 spot opening up.. both options have pros and cons.

thanks alot apurva for reply,
I forget to mention that I don't need visa I'm GC holder.
if I get prilim spot in 2007 match I will finish in jul 2008,if I apply for 2009 radiology then I will have one year gape with no job , right? sorry I don't have much knoledge about how the match system works.thanks agin
