chemamr, IQ is one of the key factors of creativity, not vice versa - creativity is much more important thing than intelligence - it's much better to be creative than to have only very high IQ, because creative people have made, are making and will be making progress of our civilization, not people with highest IQs! creative people, i.e. people with IQs just above 120, have invented vaccination, microscope, omeprazole, CT and computer itself - just to mention some inventions related to medicine...

yes, i understand that. I read an article but i don't remember which is the reference that says that self-discipline or dedication is more important than high IQs. That's why many important inventions or developments or companies, etc, etc in any field, are made by people with just above 120 but with hard work and creativity. about which is first and which is second. i'm a little bit . i wrote that because i understand it in this way: if you are creative, have brainpower and brain speed, then you have or we can assume you will have a high IQ score. So these 3 things are key factors for your IQuotient (measurement=assessment). That's my opinion. Anyway, if you see it in the reverse way, probably is like who was first, the hen or the egg?

the difference here is simple and not like the hen or the egg story: you have to have high IQ (at least 120, but above this it doesn't matter will it be, for example, 121 or 221) in order to be creative, but you don't need to be creative in order to have high IQ. In other words, all creative people have IQs higher than 120, but not all people with IQs higher than 120 are creative!

good score vallia! it will certainly influence in your USMLE scores. i think we both share the idea, we agree with the same point of view, it's just that we are saying it with the words of each one. I say if you are creative (a key factor) you will probably have an IQ >120 and you say "In other words, all creative people have IQs higher than 120". And then we agree some people with high IQ could not be creative. That's the point and we both agree. Let's forget this small confusion. By the way p53, have you done the sample IQ test i linked??? cheer up buddy, do it to relax. Join us with your IQ score, if you wish. We know it's only an approximation but it's short and funny.

chemamr, exactly because of its shortness and untimed manner I think that it's unreliable, and what's more important - will distort my self-confidence because it will not be corresponding to the existing reality. I'll post my IQ score as soon as I test my intelligence with a real IQ test - if I find the way to take it.

oh my gosh. here is my score 133 You have a strong ability to process visual-spatial and mathematical information and this, combined with your logical mind, means you are a Visual Mathematician. You can manipulate multiple parts of the picture (or problem) to come up with a solution and can understand the "big picture," which is partly why people may turn to you for direction. Like Einstein, your ability to detect patterns and your skills in maths and logic, make it natural for you to come up with ideas and theories that simplify processes for everyone. well i am being compared to einstein. i hope i smash usmle like he did the famous E =...equation!!!

i got 133 too but the message was different, i guess they assess your specific abilities according to the specific questions you answered well.

Allmost missed this one, some trivia: 1)Einstein flunked out of a school 2)Newton stands on the shoulders of Galileo being born in the year 1642 the year Galileo died. 3)Galileo was called the "Father of Modern physics" by Einstein, so Im not surprised that Newtons I.Q was 5 points higher then Galileo. 4)Ironically Galileo and Leonardo are from Italy 5)The sequence in Physics and math is Galileo then Newton then Einstein currently it may be Steven Hawkins who has this torch passed to him. 6)Galileo's father was a musician who specialized in "the theory of musical harmony", this and Galileo early in life while studying with monks for a short period ascended to a different "zone" or wavelength upon which he seeded utter, uncanny, unbelievable, "I literally cant belive my eyes", profoundness. 7)Galileo's main vehicle like many genius was math. Lastly probably knew he'd go down in history and infinity for 2 reasons . 1) proved there is a helicocentric universe (earth revolves around the Sun ) as opposed to the Catholic church, they said the opposite). 2)For the first time in history and in the universe it was Galileo Galilea and Science versing a powerful Catholic church. Galileo was actually under arrest!! Good discussion I wonder how they found out Galileo's I.Q?. {I knew someone put one of his fingers on display}

Your IQ score is 122! You are gifted with the natural fluency of a writer and the visual and spatial strengths of an artist. Those skills contribute to your creative and expressive mind. Insightful linguists can take complex concepts and articulate them to just about anyone. You have a gift with words and an insight into processes and the way people think. These talents enable you to explain things clearly to people as you can conceptualise ideas internally and understand patterns on an abstract level. I did better than I thought that I would. The math questions made my brain bleed.

bbb: the test result says somethings that everybody can notice about you ("These talents enable you to explain things clearly to people as you...". Drgaxmac: I'm very glad you enjoyed it. An: we got the same IQ, 133. p53: i know that my dear colleague, your IQ is not a surprise for me, it's high as i guessed. Babli: The Wechsler Intelligence Scale for Children-III (WISC-III) is a battery of tests for 6 to 17 year olds that evaluates intellectual abilities. The WISC-III consists of two scales, the Verbal Scale and the Performance Scale. Each of these scales has several subtests. So, at least since 6 years you can check it. That's the only info i was able to get.
