kaplan and CMDT say staph aureus and UW and emedicine say salmonella .... this is just like that confusion we have about whether its hep B or C thats more common with tranfusion related hepatitis. what do you think should we go for...can someone pls look it up in harrisons...i dont have harrison with me.

in one of the kaplan videos maybe rheumat i heard that in sickle cell patients staph is the mc cause of osteomyelitis and that salmonella is seen in greater frequency in sickle cell patients. also ve a doubt in nephro....videos says that for every 100mg increase in glucose Na falls by 1.6 while text notes say Na falls by 1.9.which is the right answer thanks

Hi thanx everyone. I have come to accept the fact that i'll have my emotional tantrums as a partof my prep, cant get rid of them. So i just acceot them now and get back to studies whenever they r over.

karusmle, best is to do YOUR duty in the best possible way. And then u shall see people/ things automatically falling into place by themselves. If they dont fit they will quit-- you have no control over others, only over your own duty. success solves a lot of things automatically. Well, my philosophy is to avoid thiking of philosophies anddo my duty.keep it simple. you'll feel relief.

DearDiary,
Got 62% in CVS uw. Today after reading the latest post in exam-exp., i realised one thing.I am feeling very relaxed and satisfied w/ whatever score i get(was expecting 40s in cvs). And i just take uw to be a learning tool.Well, today is the last day for UW. I should make a timetable by tonight for next revision. I plan to do in nonstop 25 days. no weekends off now, ofcourse. Meanwhile i have to analyse and rectify my Qans techniques, too. chickimi,Alina, happy reading!

Hi friends, yes, inspiring posts from the lucky ones who got beyond the "fence", they make me almost burst with desire to get there sooner, and get this over with!!... I'm feeling exhausted, I need more and more sleep, i get tired early in the evening, the strain and focus of the last few months put their toll on me. thats why im thinking to move again my exam 1 week earlier than june 12. I didnt even feel like posting here, felt kinda down, and sank in my books and questions. but i kept reading your posts, and I saw everyone of us is having hard times, bad days and better ones, the important thing is that we're still here and we're still giving all our might. as for my studying, it went well, according to my plan, I'm almost done with my third reading + UW, still have to do surgery qs and psy Kap+UW. so ill be done by may 20, as planned (I think). I cant wait to take kaplan similated right after that, to see where I really stand. i'll just have 2 weeks after that, to improve whatever I can. Good luck to all of you and keep in touch

UW is over.As the exam approaches, studies have to get more consolidated. It gets very tiring if you want to do everything, studies, and grocery and trying to put a smile on your face all the time for sake of others around you, when all you want to do is study , sleep ,and scream. The 3 s's.
Well, "when the goings get tough, the tough gets going". And when the goings get tough, this is when the meeker ones start falling out. The one who perseveres tillthe end, with full effort is the winner.----the 99 percentiler. The question is not of who's reading what, but who's sticking out till the end w/ MAX effort put in EACH day, under all circumstances-personal,financial,or in sleep deprived states. gist:make a timetable, and stick to it. All the best everyone.
