definitely 2 months if you want to do it along with reading, which I would recommend. you have plenty of time so why not do it thoroughly and without any pressure...

2nd reading (maybe chapterwise) + UWside by side
is not the preferred way BUT the ONLY way to go about it.I regret not having started UWearlier in my prep, but family responsibilities had held me back at that time. All the best.

thank u very much to all of u.i will now try and finish my reading as fast as possible and then get on to doing usmleworld with 2nd read.
i would like u all to also to tell me when u finish usmleworld on how much time u took for each of the subjects in 2nd read and what score shld one aim for while doing qs.

2 months.But I have lots of emotional tantrums in b/n,for which i have to keep aside sometime , alongw/ revising kap + some nms/qbank notes i had made, sometimes crush .
If you are persistant w/ normal no. of breaks 1 1/2 months is ok.
dont ask me my topicwise days bec never could stick to any.

how r u all.these days i am going so slow. i don't know why i,ve lost all my motivation---i was having a little bit confindence when i started UW--but i think my low score in GU slowed me a lot. hi guys, can u tell me how can i get a lot of energy--BTW i've started CVS ----i shld finish it today.

Yesterday , I was awake till 5am, was not feeling tired or sleepy. But messed up UWscore for electrolytes and 23Qns of ID.so I left ID at that. After the night's sleep, when I continued w/ ID today, my scores were ok(by my standards),in upper 60s.
Hence my 2cents is: besides studies, we have to keep our brains in best possible state w/ rest, food, maybe coffee for some.
In uw ID: Rx choices for a case of pinworm-albenda & pyrantel were given. mebenda was not given.//// CMDT says mebenda:very good Rx. Albenda:very goodRx, but not used in US for this indication. Pyrantel: OTC in US for pinworm. /////// So I think ans shouldnotbe albenda (mebenda was not in choices), but UW gave its ans as albenda. MY CONCLUSION FROM THIS :uw IS A LEARNING TOOL. SCORE DOESNOT DOESNOT DOESNOT DOESNOT MATTER  .well ended ID w/ 63.

hi guys , i m back after a long time .....i had lots of personal problems , but now just out of it and back to studies ........left with 880 questions in usmleworld and still have less than 2 months , i m getting scared now , wondering , how i m gonna manage .............can i try nbme after usmleworld , that will be 1 and a half months before my exam ...???

u r right. ysterday i did 50%q of electrolytes &got score more than 70%--but after that it was pretty late -i cldn't sleep well.today with sleepy head i did rest of electrolyte q & scored poorly. now my electrolyte score-65%.today i'll start studying hemato+a little bit of CVS. Where is agn &AlinaT? I hope they r doing great. 3535- how many UW q u r left with? GL to u all.

Hi everybody!
glad to see everybody is working good. Am I the first one to take CK? I'm on june 5, I know 3535 is on 23, what about the others....chickimi, karusmle, agn?
Today I went to the library for a change....had a productive day, it's a stimulating environment. well, it's one of the top medschools in USA, so no wonder... Saturday I finished UW IM, so today I started rereading kaplan peds, hope to finish tomorrow, and maybe start UW wed. time is ticking away...AND I CAN'T WAIT TO BE DONE WITH THIS. I'm tired already, today I couldn't remember my bank account number, something that had never happened to me... Ha, and I'm supposed to take a big test in a few weeks?...hope i'll remember the date!

chickimi,hi.I wanted to know how you also have planned it out.
As for me I am not a person who could ever make day-by-day plan(how many days for 1 chapter). So my BROAD plan is-
by may 6/7: end UW Q & notes taking which i am doing w/ 2nd kap read. I have also done neuroanat kap-1 / micro partially-FA-1, and 36pages goljan.
may 8- may30 : revise uw + kap3rd read + goljan36pgs. (dont ask me details- presently i cant decide. kingsofke & lisaM did this revision in 32-35 days.i have 23 days!!!.
may31: nbmeform1
then i'll see how to proceed till my exam on 23/or 30th june .
Please please tell me if i can do kap-3rd revision & UW 1st revision in 23days. I have my mom here to take care of my daughter, and i get yummy food too without cooking . so i think i should slaughter myself out.
Please tell me what u think of my 23 day plan, chickimi, alinaT, agn??

i am also doing UW with my 2nd reading. i shld finish it by june 15th---then 3rd revise upto july 15th.then NBME +kap simulated +4th revise KP+UW notes 3rd time-20days--iguess aug-5th.i've to take CS after that--i think i've a very bad plan regarding my chances of getting residency this year. I'll pray for u--i'll miss u very much after ur test--u were always been v helpful & supportive.thx a lot

Sorry i didn't see rest of ur post---if u study hard it's definitely possible--i think maybe --SUR-4+psy-3+obgyn-4+pedi-4+med-8days---it's definitely possible when ur mom is with u---i really miss my mom these days.And wht about GOLJAN 36 pg --is this helpful--let me know.

hello friends, back again after a long gap .
I have been following all your posts regularly, You guys are doing great. I am kind of depressed (i mean the ups & downs ) my UW scores are not great at all , but then i say to myself .........."the learning tool" ( is that some kind of defense mechanism?)
i am on my second read, like 3535 said, i too cant make day to day plans, so i hope to finish my second read by May 20th. take NBME , (hopefully )& take from there. I am planning to take the exam on 15 th June.
i am done with second rev of Psychiatry, & few Internal medicine topics, got to work more on pharma side .
Have to work on CVS too, plz need help with that, any suggestions ???
Today i started OB/GY , should be done by thursday(God please help me!!)
Now looking back at the post i am thinking i really do have to do a lot !

Hello friends, welcome back agn
I changed my CK date last night, after realizing that my plan was unrealistic. so according to NOW (who knows what else I'll realize) my CK is on june 12. this means that I have 2 weeks and a half to finish UW+ third read, then take kaplan simulated/NBME, then 4th read of kaplan + UW notes in 2 weeks, then take another NBME. that will be a week before exam. what I'll do in that week I don't know...I'll see what needs some brushing.
I think 23 days for the last read are enough 3535. it will be intense, but definitely doable. I'll try do it in 2 weeks, I know I'll have to speed like crazy, but I just don't want to postpone this forever, want to finish it soon. CS is waiting right at the corner after that.
you guys are doing great, keeping the pace and hanging in there.
today....finishing kaplan peds and starting peds UW

after seeing all of ur plan to take CK in june---i'm really getting energy to finish mine in july-cause i'll be done with my UW 2 month on june10th-so if i can review my kp+UW(2nd time) in 3wks then i shld take CK in july-----pls let me know how did u finish ur 2nd review UW+KP in details after u r done. so that i can follow ur footprint
