150. During a screening physical examination, an apparently healthy 40 year old man is found to have unconjugated hyperbilirubinemia (5.5 mg/dL). No other abnormalities are noted on either physical examination or a 20-test chemistry profile. Which of the following is the most likely cause of the patient's hyperbilirubinemia?

A. Acute hepatitis
B. Alcoholic Hepatitis
C. Crigler-Najjar syndrome type I
D. Gilbert syndrome
E. Latent hepatitis B infection

(C or D)

Please Explain... Thanks.

  #3

You are right guys.
Both CN and Gilberts have increased Uncon. Bili, but Gilberts is very mild; CN is severe.
