Hello everyone, im from Guayaquil, studying to take the USMLE Step 1. i wanted your personal opinion on study material and time for prep. Im studying mainly on kaplan review books, first aid, and microbiology made rid. simple.. im aiming for 4 months of study, accounting for about 5 hours/day of reading, and weekly qbank trials.. Any comments? I´d really appreciate some help! PD: i also heard that Kaplan´s DVD lectures are good material.. any comments on that? Gracias a todos por adelantado, y gracias por hacer quedar bien al pais en el exterior!

Hi Xavier23, your plan looks very organized... the hard part is to stick to it for the 4 months. You need to learn the books and then practice hundreds of questions. My study plan was posted at http://www.prep4usmle.com/forum/thread/31207 Good Luck in your preparation and let me know if you need any advice. Isther
