how long will this take to start from 20% basik knowledge
which books may i exactly use along wid dvds
for anatomy physio pharma biochem beh sc n patho

Look thru different exam experinces make your own choices.
Kaplan lecture notes goes best with the lectures . Goljan audios are best for patho.Rest is fine in kaplan Hope its help.

Starting from 20% means that youll need huge amount of effort. ( i know as i started from 15  ) i suggets , whatever you choose, give it a concenterated effort. your best. only than can you do it. and try to finish things fast and keep in touch , more, with people who are preparing for steps than who are not  -very imp.
rest as OBO said. see the forums, read exam exp of people who have made it. set a goal. if you start walking, you will find a way.

a simple way to know if you need to read your old textbooks is to read thru kaplan or highest rated review books and if you don't understand something than obviously you need to reference it in a textbook. i was very weak in biochem and at first couldn't understand a darn thing in kaplan so for certain topics i used lippincotts as a reference.

reading these kind of books to prepar the usmle is a waste of time
just take the HY book like brs or hy or kaplan

Hi yolanda,
I had started with path,very first reading,off and on.I am studying for step 1 and am plannong on taking it sometime next year,jan 2007.I have too many pressure.I would really like if we can exchange ideas or we can study tohether that can really motivate us,especially me.Let me know wha do you think??????
