Hi everyone ,
I am new to this .I planned to take USMLE all of a sudden and in a crucial state of gambling.I am planning 2007 match,Hope GOD helps me throughout.I just started my prep for step-1 15 days back and i'm a slow reader too.Have faith in achieving my goals.Here i start with pathology, as some of my friends told me that it has weightage in stp-1. plan to finish path 6 days.todays paln to finish cardio,blood vessels and some basics and few questions.i will do it !

godd morning! well today i started with good pace.Yesterday i was able to complete half of my task. i couldn't do as much questions i thought.i was able to do cardiopath and bloodvessels. today my duty is to do:
*CNS
*GIT
*NEOPLASIA
*Questions
*slides
*Goljan audios
Yes, I can do it. this is my second day of pathos.I will do it. God is here to help me out.

hi hodgkins and tolito, i was really depressed as i was not able to achieve my target. i did my CNS 50% and then switched to Cell injury and Inflammation.I heard Goljan audio and saw a few Qs but then i was drowsy yesterday and got up today very late and doing the same target. Oh GOD ...if this is so then it is impossible to complete path in another 5 days. Give me strnghth!Thanx guys, lets see how it goes.

FRUIT , dont get discouraged by this , these are the normal ups n lows , its normal to not achieve ur ful target specialy when u start studin , make routine like fixed time for wakin up and goin to bed , fixed time for evey thing and first try to follow that along with ur study and try to make small targets initialy , things start to change after a wk if u stick to ur schedual .......... just keep workin .

hey fruit,
that is life, ups and downs, good days and bad days. just say to yourself that this too will soon pass away. and guess what, it will pass away.
i do not always achieve my target and it can depress one a little. but we need to remember that they are targets and not punishments. they are meant to help us study. also once you set a target, it should help build up that little anxiety you need to feel the urgency and the little time available. just like aisha says, it takes a while to really get into the groove of studying so just keep on trucking. make small targets and increase them daily till you get to optimum speed. like a car shifting gears!!!

thanx aisha2 and tolito, well to my surprise today i woke by 4:45am,incredible and started to bang in.Yesterday was acceptable. i am trying to stick to my time. i think probably i am weak in CNS, that really takes a lot of time.and now on the verge of completing CNS.Well , ysterday i did some Qs,Goljan audio and wound healing. it was little soothing to heart. Today i am upto thrash left over CNS,GIT and NEOPLASIA.Still 3 more days to go.GOD only can help me out this task , of course u all r among the good spirits !

Gm ! I'm happy to clear CNS once for all and now planning today's task with much confidence.Yesterday was fruitful.Today's task:
*GIT
*path slides
*NEOPLASIA
*Endocrine
*Goljan audio
*Atleast 100 Qs
I think this will saturate the day.Hope to complete atleast 25%.I made my mind not to worry but keep persisting, thats the key to Success!This is a Wonderful Day!I wish all Gr8 SUCCESS

Thanx tolito and hodgkins...Well today i started with a great task but had to attend a prayer meeting in the morning. Hope that i resume to work atleast by noon. i ve extended my patho target to 3 more days. Today did abt 100 Qs. Felt better but still lot more to go. Hopefully ll put an end to it.

Well, today i had lot of guests and kids to manage and tried to stick to my shedule but felt tired and was able to finish just 75 Qs and half of Neoplasia.Hope i go to bedd soon and begin tomorrow with a sprint.
And miles to go before i sleep!

you are doing 75 Qs and its not ok and i am just doing 25
do you read explainations of all the Qs? how much time does it takes. and are you doing Qs of subjects you are just doing or some you are following some other pattern ?

Hi tolito and 26malik...Goodmorning! and have a nice day.Well i do read the explanations too.I refer if i ve doubt with explanation.At present I am fixing with the subj which i am reading> pathology. Actually my target was to do atleast 150 Qs.I basically think that reading the whole lot of the subj then going with Qs is little hard job!So i thought that ll built on the base which i ve from college.I feel comfortable with this way. Guys stick on to ur pattern, Different methods suit different people!I think once u do Qs u ll ve 1st hand knowledge in the high yield areas and ll save time in concentrating to the important!Well today i think i will fire pathos to some extent.Yesterday i did abt 70 QS and saw slides and a tutorial. I completed Neoplasia, could'nt do GIT According to my shedule, today is my last day of pathology but i'm not even half way thru So i thought ll xtend 3 more days and give a full throttle. GOD PLS HELP MEGOODLUCK friends!

GM abs...All The Best!Today got up late as i slept very late yesterd night.I was able to cover half of endocrine and still 2 days left...Highly impossibleto complete path. I find doing the questions really takes a lot of time!Still lots of slides to be done.Today my target is.....
*Rest of endocrine
*Hematology
*Renal
*Slides
*Goljan audio-renal and hemato
*Atleast 50 Qs
I think this will do today.Lets see !

Thanx hodgkins and tolito..Well today i got up late and yesterday too i went little early to bed.I really had a bad headache and couldn't proceed much I was able to complete Endocrine ,slides and only 25Qs.I was in out of mood to start haematology so i thought 'll do it tomorrow.Instead i started Joints , soft tissues patho and covered a part of it. Then went to bed. Today ll be a better dayAnd my targets r:
*Complete Joints...
*Hematology
*75Qs
*Renal
*Goljan stuff
*Slides
Need to hurry up, its long time i started pathology and wanted to storm it soon.Only few days left.DO UR BEST AND GOD DOES THE REST!C U guys..Workhard
