C:tell both of them. General rules:tell the patient everything, even if he or she does not ask.

Tell about what (that Dad is not really the father or the risk of the child)?

  #11

ya it is d

  #12

Its B. Tell the patient.
You have an obligation to tell your patient (the mother) everything you find.
-The father is NOT the patient (if the mother wants to tell him later on thats up to her)
-Keeping silent is NOT an option. The patient has a right to know everything.

C tell both of them cause the patient is the baby and parents must know about the condition of the baby even though one isn't the biological parent. they need to know why their kid has little chance of developing CF. besides how is it feasible to tell the parents "i need to speak with the mother only not the father"? the father no matter what still considers the kid his and shouldn't be denied information regarding what he believes to be his own kid.
