DEFICIENCY OF WHICH OF THE FOLLOWING CAN LEAD TO CLONAL AN ERGY IL-12, IL-10,1L-2 ,IL-6

  #2

sad

IL-2?
If there is no IL-2 no prolif of T cells .. no isotype switching for the B cells, bcuz remem that in order for B cells to dif they need Th cells.
Correct me ..

  #4

yes, my thoughts too. il2 is required with il4 for b cell growth. il4 is the one required for class switch though.

no, i change my mind. il6 is probably the more appropriate cos it is responsible for bcell differentiation.

il2 is wrong cos we may have T independent antibody production.

ok. sorry i have been a blind man leading you all astray.

for certain, it is il 2. failure of its production leads to T Cell clonal anergy. (do not remember the source but this is genuine and not guess work).

il5 is bcel differentiation factor

il 6 is Bcell stim factor ( it stimulates il5)

IL 2
its listed as a cause of SCID in FA

clonal anergy is caused by the deficiency of costimulation mechanism(b7 and cd28 binding).. and costimulation increases il2 synthesis by 100 times .. so it is IL-2
