Hi guys, I took my step 3 on March 2nd and 3rd. My results were released today and I found out I passed with a two digit score of 92. I have been a silent observer on this forum and had thought I'd post my experience if I passed. I studied for about 4 weeks after I finished interviewing. I used Strong Medicine for Step 3 as my main review book and supplemented it with UW questions. My cumulative score on UW was 63% and NBME 1 week before the test was 490. After the test I felt pretty cruddy since I messed up quite a few of the cases. The MCQs were very visual with every other question having a derm picture or an X-Ray or an EKG. I browsed through the photo atlas at the end of Swanson's. If you have any questions, feel free to ask and I'll try to answer them as well as I can. Also, I am getting rid of some of my Step 2 and Step 3 books, so if anyone is interested, email me and I can send you the details. Good luck!

Hey screwit... I just did my step 2 ck.. I passed but I don`t have my result yet... I`ll do my step 2 CS exam on june... what do you think about studing for step 3 just after CS... sorry I forgot to tell you that I`m a IMG... and most of the people say that we have better chances to get into a residency with the step 3 passed. What do you think about it ??

Hi Scewit27,

Congrats, you nailed it. I have a Q though. I took CK a month ago and i am wondering if i need to buy some books for step 3 or CK kaplan notes and UW for step 3 would do it?

You mentioned about Strong Medicine. Is it so so or very good.

What about Blue Prints? did you read them?

I hope you will have a chance to reply. Thanks.
