1. receptors do not require 2nd messenger 2. activation of receptors increase cAMP 3. presynaptic recptr activation reduces Ca efflux 4. postsynaptic rectpr activation reduces K efflux 5. activation of receptors is stimulatory to the inhibitory pathway of GABA which is responsible for the sedative action

but your choice was presynaptic recept reduce calcium efflux and opioids reduce calcium influx

my mistake! it should read 'reduces Ca INFLUX presynaptically. Opiods increase postsynaptic K efflux.
