well tolito, i m going for a 3 wk long vacation 2day, so i give u my wishes 2 day itself bs once i go i dont know whether i can access to internet frequently. im sure u will do great buddy. just pray hard all our prayers will be with u. when i reach back, ur exams will be over and i hope i can read a very positive exam experience.
May all ur hard work be rewarded.....

novak, step12006, drbin, thanks for your well wishes. drbin, hope you enjoy your trip. we will miss you. i pray that you come back to hear good news. it has been a rough day for me. my adopted grandma here has her husband in hospital for pneumonia. they thought he had DIC at one point and later said no then he went into failure and they revived him with digoxin. my thinking is they overladed his poor heart. he has A Fib, myelodysplastic syndrome, hyperthyroidism (treated), 2 episodes of stroke, he fell out of bed 2 days ago and suffered fracture 2nd vert and he has one other disease that eludes me. they said septic shock initially and i thought it was over so i dashed to hosp only to see his bp creep up again after digoxin. so imade my own conclusions about his problem. so i came back to my books.
cannot assess todays progress but i read just 100pg of path. i did a lot of revision with study-ing, robin, mj, spjokes, drvirgo, and a bunch of other people. so i am happy cos i revised virtually every section. tomorrow is d day for NBME but i am thinking to do it first thing on sat morning. then my brain will be fresh and i woudl have got around finishing path, revising respiration, behav, stats, micro, anat tomorrow. wow!!!! well i am still on the floor and my feet are moving so i am still dancing!!!! the struggle continues.
JUST BELIEVE, KEEP THE FAITH

not a stellar performance seeing i have such a short time to go. did not do half of what i projected.  . so tomorrow i will just continue. a day looks so long but it actually rushes by so fast. tomorrow remains dday for NBME 2. i will face it regardless of not having completed my revisions.

the same here, I just wonder how did all those hours pass? the day is gone and I'm left with all the stuff I wanted to do, anyways tolito keep dancing, it's true the miracle is round the corner

well, study-ing and khorshid, we had best make good use of every minute cos we cannot recall it. my social life is so wrecked now. people are nice about it when they invite me to places and i cannot go or i attend and i leave in an hour ' cos i got to go read'. i bet they are sick of hearing that phrase. my hubby..... he is sympathetic but at the same time he wants his fair share of me. i dont have enough for myself at this point not to talk less of sharing me. . this too will pass.
usmlegladiator, may God grant us good tests. may we be tested only on those areas we prepared for. this is such a humunguous job. you start from a and by the time you get to j, you have forgottne a. so you go back to a and hope to pick up at l. unfortunately you have forgotten a few more in between. eventually you pick up the thread and say halleluyah...z. guess what, a is totally gone, j is a blur!!! i give up with bioch. i will just give it 4 hrs tomorrow and that is it. i am going to select some pathways and cong defects and move on. i must do NBME tomorrow so i can spend monday just revising. i never planned to be reading right up to one day before the exam but at this rate, i have no choice.
well, am on the floor, my feet are still moving and so i am dancing!!!

well at least uve been nice enough to visit them for an hour!! i havnt met family and friends since ages!! if they have had similar experiences, im sure they'll understand!

so many good wishes. thank you all friends. i should say thanks brothers and sisters. i have not got this much encouragement from 'genetic' members of my family.
some good and some bad. i took NBME form 2 and guess what my score was 540!!! again???????? after all the work i put in in the last couple weeks. i might as well have gone for the exam 2 weeks ago. it is surprising cos on the assessment, i did much better in all the systems but i was dragged down by renal compared to the other one. what to do. nothing. i am going to bed and i will keep my faith. i will remember all the good wishes and put in my best.
i will post my experience soon as i am done.

thanks all for your kind wishes. i am back. it was TOUGH!!!.... but 'passable'. my advise, dont prolong the torture too long. you will wonder why you did when you finally go for the exam. it was all about concepts. funny exprerimental stuff which cannot happen in real life so you have to understand the concepts or you cannot answer the questions. some guys said they did well by memorising stuff. i wonder how that worked for them. they must have got the knowledge of the concepts before hand otherwise, it is impossible to pass the exam.
i will post my experience later. i just wanted to thank you all for your un- ending support and belief in me. one bit of advise, please do the NBME early. dont worry about your score. it will help you to have a feel of the exam. take the form 1 a month to teh exam and then take teh form 2 a week to the exam. at form 2, make like you were really going for the exam. use the last week to cone in on your weak areas. the truthof the matte is those areas that were formally strong areas would have become your weak areas cos you studied them so long ago!!!!
i believe in miracles so i will continue to pray for my 99 ( but the exam feels like i got an 80 to me)
