Hi This is my second post at prep4usmle.com.i like the good job you all are doing. Kindly recommend the books toher than the Kaplan , to prepare well for the Step2.I know that people would recommend Kaplan notes and the Usmleworld course the most, but I want to know if we need to go through some other important books.

You can also try 'Cecil Essentials of Medicine'.

Hi, thanks, P53. What do you think of "step up to medicine"?

I think it's the best review for IM - much better than NMS or BP.

tHE WAY TO READ KAPLAN IS THAT BY YOUR 3RD READING , U READ MOST TOPICS IN FORM OF qNS. that is w/ help of UW etc, & with your own IQ?! , you r able to somewhat know how a Qn'll be framed for any topic. How this'll help? well, in exam (or even during your UW practice), after reading 1-2 lines, you know what they r wanting to ask.---By the time u reach end of Qn, you already have a diagnosis before reading the choices.
well, how to master this art? stick to one book, do LOTSSSS of Qns.And spend more time thinking the same stuff kap/uW rather than reading extra material.

PS--how did an average mortal like me think out this concept & be so confident about it even before taking my exam-- Because kingsofke's post says the way kaplan is to be read is that each line reminds u of a Qn.
