Why does captopril delay the progression of CHF? Never heard of such a thing beforeconfused Please let me know how? How did you get the information! I just wanna evaluate my sources. Whenever I see a question that the basic concept in was not covered by my sources I lose my confidencemad

by decreasing preload and afterload,which decreases burden on heart,so better used in CHF

ACEI act to reduce the ang II mediated increases in epinephrine and aldosterone seen in chf. reduced aldosterone reduces salt retention and reduces preload. reduced sympth output plus increased levels of bradykinin reduce PVR (after load). cf = lippincott. kaplan does not expatiate
