is it important also in the interviews?

Depends on the PD..... If the PD is a crack he takes every bit of your skin into account. may god forbid them.

well i got rejections from two universities saying that they didnot recognise my medical college,despite it being recg by ecfmg!!!!

I think PD stands for program Director, right?
so, do U think in interview meeting they will look at UR college score too?

Some programs pay attention to school transcripts, some do not , I guess. For example, I have Diploma with honor from my school and a few places acknowledged that they did pay attention to it. One of my friend got a question during her interview about her low score in biochemistry in transcript. They also pay attention to WHAT school you graduated from. it is not only about that the school is listed in the Directory we know. There are well known schools abroad and there are schools which are not respected.
