Does glucokinase in liver have high Km and low Vmax, or vice versa?

I'm sure that glucokinase in liver has high Km, infact this is the reason why it's so special and it's so fungamental that she stays in liver only, in contrast to esokinase, that has got low Km and stays in most tissues

skyhigh thats correct. Glucokinase high km low affinity. Ive said it many times to memorize it. in the other tissue its hexokinase

You all are right. Glucokinase has high Km and high Vmax. , so after a full carbohidrates meals in the presense of insulin, it can phosphorilate the glucose.It is found in liver( the blood from portal veine is full of glucose) so it is said to has a low affinity for glucose. Hexokinase is found in the most of the tissues, but has a low Vmax. and a low Km so the glucose from the blood is very slow metabolized.So it has a great affinity for glucose.
