Contraindications of intravenous pyelography?

History of allergy to contrast medium. I.V.P.(but it can be safely carried out under the cover of corticosteroids)
Multiple myeloma was once considered as absolute contra-indication (with hydration, I.V.P. can be carried out safely if there is definite indication even in the presence of multiple myeloma.)
Pregnancy
People with known kidney disease or failure should not have an IVP because the dye can worsen kidney function

Renal failiure or serum creatinine >2 is contraindion of IVP.

not a C/I but metformin need to be witheld - lactic acidosis

and aslo metformin usage must be restricted after the precedure (IVP)

and what about ACE Inhibitors i think that applied to ace inhibiors also
