hi all.... a silly qsticking out tongue... but pl do answer..... t cells r made in bone marrow... den have positive selection in thymus.. right???? ok... now... by adolescent age.. thymus is atrophied... i mean.. not functionin... so... NOW WHERE R T CELLS MADE??? i've a theory.. but i'l prefer others to reply...rolling eyes

also..... wats d mechanism of absolute lymphocytosis wen one's on steroids??? and wen one has cushing's?? is it by a diff mech??? also.. lymphocytosis in cushing's appears by wat age??? PL.......... REPLY... THANK U IN ADVANCE...

About first Q thymus get smaller but not atrophied completely as I know . may be wrong/

second steroid decrease the synthesis of adhesion molecule so the marginating cell and no longer attached to the blood vessel but are in the circulation so causes lymphocylosis .

any body know plz correct me

theories about thymus in adult is confusing but it is definite that it still functions. proven by the results of thymectomy.
