I pass step 1 in my 5th attempt (82) and step 2 in my 4th attempt (83) plus I am old graduate 1996. I need help from people who matched this year with similar credentials like me. I will really appreciate if you can tell me where you matched so I can apply next year. Thanks and congratulations to everybody who matched.

hello drchivago...i cant help u wid ure question cuz im not in similar situation.but just wanted to say that dont feel bad abt ure credentials, its tuffer if u graduated a while ago to read basics again.from my short experience in this match i can suggest that u get some clinical experience.preferably in a good community hospital near where u live so that when time for match comes u can insist on an interview n possibly a prematch.they wd prefer u inspite of ure attempts bcuz they wd have seen ure work.also get recommendations frm ppl u work with.im sure u have something to show what u have been doing since graduation (as is v important to show u have been in patient contact).try n get ure name in research papers if u already havent.but if u have no time then externship is better option .i say that bcuz its v hard for u to get into competitive program ,small community programs r not v research oriented so research will not impress them as much as experience.also during externship u will b in contact wid faculty which is helpful in obtaining lors n interview.best of luck in ure endeavours n dont loose hope.
