When someone says do orthostatic or orthostatic bp -what does it show, how is it done, what would it represent?..

pt supine for 3 minutes- check BP record
Ask him to get up and satnd without any support.
Check BP after 3 min of standing or earlier if pt reports any orthostatic giddiness.
If systolic falls >20 and diastolic > 10, it is suggestive of orthostatic hypotension.
Some books give 30 as cut off for systolic.
Correct me if wrong
