I have been trying to get motivated for sterp 1 but have been unable to do so. I am a full time married working mom with three children and limited amount of time to study. I am looking for someone who can get me motivated and draw out a study plan ( a schedule) I am studying Kaplan and First Aid and I also have Q baank. I would like to start next week 3/20 and hopefully take the exam in July.I am unable to meet with any body in person but will be able to communicate via Email or IM. I live in New York if that makes a difference to anybody. Reply if you are interested and I will give you my Email address.

hey fssgrin

i know how u must be feeling.

i had a difficult time starting as well, took me 9 months, until i found my study partner.

but please don't give up, go to the library, u will find lots of people preparing for the board too, and may be u find ur study buddy there.

as for the study plan,

i kinda use 3 weeks to go through each subject. i am a bit slow.

hmm that will be 21 weeks, after that u might wanna listen to goljan and first aid.

then do a second reading or something.

so i think it's best u tailor ur own time table, and try to stick to it.

Once u start, u will keep on moving, it's just the inertia in the beginging that u have to break through.

hope u will find a study partnet soon, too bad i am in san jose.

all the best to u, don't give up.

good luckgrin

Hi Lecheah:

Thanks for the encouraging words. I will try to hang in there. I get so discouraged when I can't remember something that I read the night before. I then give up or make many excuses. I had minor surgery recently with some complications unfortunately and did not really start as of yet. I am feeling much better and is ready to give things a try again. I will keep you posted.

Thanks again a million.
