can i get a residency position with an ecfmg certificate since 1983.

I believe the certificate is valid for upto the 7 years till any of the step 1 or 2 scores expire..not sure though.anyone else ?

ECFMG certificate is valid indefinitely now since june 2004..people who took CS after june 2004 or who got certified after 2004 will have indefinite validity on ECFMG certificate...if u were ECFMG certified in 1983 and u did't take step 3 by that time then i think not only ur scores have expired but also ECFMG certificate has expired by now..read ECFMG website for it or call them to ask abt ur situation. good luck
