Hey guys, Just a quick question. I only ranked one Prelim surg program on my ROL. The NRMP site only says that I matched. It does not say that I matched into a "one-year position only", therefore, am I to assume I matched into a categorical spot? or is there still a chance that I matched into the prelim?

Most likely, you only matched in a spot you ranked...so if you only ranked 1 prelim surgery, that is where you will be matched. It is only a one year position, but with lots of potential, in that, you can switch areas after one year or apply for the programs surgery residency.
