It's been horrible since the positions were released!
I want to ask you guys if there is anything that we can do emphasize our strong interest in the program after having applied already for the available positions? Is there anything that could help bring a position home? I know it probably sounds silly and desperate, but please help me with some ideas here.

I already called this program once to inquire about the status of my application (I had gotten an e-mail from them earlier saying that it is being reviewed) and they said they're still reviewing. They haven't filled any spots yet since this morning. It is a program that I applied to in the regular season and that had wait-listed me. PLease give me an idea as to what to do!!!!!!!!!!!!!

if you interviewed there before maybe you could try contacting the residents or physicians you connected with. maybe they can put in a good word for you. but try to be tactful and feel your way around coz you don't want to seem too pushy as well.
also note that the PD and coordinator might just have their hands full right now.

i suggest that you try calling other programs now, fast. be proactive. go with your gutfeel,man. now is not the time to pause and seek advice. GO!
