decreased ferritin

decreased mcv

decreased Hb

normal to high TIBC

all these point toward Fe def.....moreover young patient with all these findings........most commonly due to upper GI bleeding...........

jvo_md...why do u think of Hb electrophoresis can u explain?........thanks...........

raised eyebrow Well i guess that the decreased ferritin must elicit a elevated TIBC, correct me if im not right, please... He is a young male...and i don't see no reason for Fe def... Just maybe because it's the must common cause...
