hi all

congrats to all who matched and good luck for the scramble who did not.

i have a question

i applied only for general surgery.

i ranked several positions in my primary ROL, i created no supplemental ROL.

now i got the message

congratulations you have matched.

does it mean that i matched categorical

anyone who matched into prelim surgery, what does your message say.

you matched into categorical. if you had matched into prelim it would have said "Congratulations, you matched into a one year position" ... this is of course if you ranked categorical surgery in your ROL and not just prelim surgery.

thanks katzung and adeelmd,

i had two comments for adeelmd,

congrats for RADIO, that is like a guiness book record.

as for prelim and categorical, i ranked both prelim and categorical positions in my primary ROL. I just ranked PGY1 positions and not PGY2 positions like radio or anything.
