I think they are the same thing. GL skdoc for the scramble, I wish you all the best from the bottom of my heart, there are so many people who deserve a lot more than they get and you are one of em. I am keeping my fingers crossed for you. GL

in preliminary medicine, you're doing one year of mediicne...whereas in a transitional program, you're doing some months of medicine, some surgery rotations, ob/gyn rotations, etc....not just medicine...it's typically for people who haven't quite decided what they want to specialize in.
