Kaplan Qbank USMLE

Hi Guys,
could you give me an advice, please?
I have been studying for Step 3 for a while, but not very intensely.
I read the Crush book a couple of months ago and I have been doing Kaplan Q-book questions and UW questions.
Kaplan Q-book between 60-70%, UW I got 62% (still 300 questions to go).
The problem is that in the last UW test I got 44%!!! THe questions were very hard (checking on the % of people who answered correctly, they were hard for many people too!!!), but now I wonder if I should take it or postpone it a little bit...
I have scheduled it for March 24...

What do you think, guys? I feel moderately confident, I just want to pass before the residency, but I don't want to skrew up either!!!

Any suggestion is more than welcome.

Thank you coolbabe (ehi, I remember your posts about the residency match! hope that everything went smooth and fine).
I thought about that. The fact is that I am such a girl (well, yes I am kind of sensitive... joking of course!) and I am scared to totally mess up that simulation (I didn't take it for any of the other tests and I did pretty good)...
I am going to think about it in the next couple of days, but I feel I have kind of underestimate this Step 3 and at this point I should be more aggressive in passing it...
Let's see. Next week there is the Match day as well... maybe it is going to be inspirational, who knows...
Thank you for the answer, anyway.
How was your experience with Step 3, if I am not impertinent?

this is my experience post..................

hopefully i am done with usmle forever...
i will know in 3 weeks ....

first of all , it didnt seem as scary as i had imagined it wud be. it was doable. it was not as if i had to click away randomly. sure there were some (in fact many ) like that but there were also a great deal which were familiar.....

my observations for the exam:
1) read step 2 kaplan notes, especially med and peads.....also psychiatry
2) dont bother too much with kaplan step 3 notes
3) UW is the key to success( i hope i am going to be successful sticking out tongue)
read the explanations of UW again and again ......many questions were very very similar to UW.
4) level of difficulty not as much as UW .even nbme looked tougher to me.
5) time management is the key cos i was running out of time with all blocks and few ccs cases too.
6) for ccs play around with the cd and write down what you think on the sheet they provide so u dont miss out on anything.

7) if u have done internship seriously or have some residency experience in ur home country , u prolly will be better off.
8) stick to basics. being cost effective is the key . if there is UA vs IVP , UA is prolly the correct answer.

thats all i can think of.
will be back again if i can think of something else.

good luck everyone.

ua is urinanalysis and ivp is intravenous pyelography

short forms are important in ccs cases in step 3 exam.
