Achilles, that was one heap of praise...thank you and well done on the question!
Harrison's mentions that 'decades of observational studies have verified excess coronary risk in men compared to premenopausal women' though of course this does indicate that the incidence of cardiovascular disease (and that means diseases more than just coronary) is more in men. Plus, 'after menopause cornonary risk accelerates in women', as per Harrison's.
