whats up people,, this post for those of you who didnt make it yet and maybe had more than one attempt and are almost giving up,, well, dontttttttt because you will do it no matter what and let me tell you my own experince.. i graduated medicine about 4 years ago, then i relized that i didnt wonna do medicine so i started changing my mind and thinking of doming something else, but i already start studying for step 1 and paid for the exam so i was like ,what im gonna lose, nothing, let me just take it for fun and it was a big mistake, i took it and had a very low score ,51.. i didnt care, i left medicine and started doing dentistry for 2 semesters, then i relized that it wasnt for me, i left it and went back to think about medicine, i gave myself a promise to pass my board exams and i studied for almost 9 monthes but i didnt know how to study well,, to make a long story short, i got 64 and i was in a shock, i thought i new everything and i was ready but seems like i wasnt, i was losing hope and started saying, i cant do it anymore, but oh well, my friends told me to be stronger and take it again, i did, i studied for 6 more monthes and i was so sure im gonna pass it this time but i go 74/181, that was the killer, i decided to stop and started calling physician assistant schools and asking about there programs and getting my papers ready so i can do the 2 years of masters in PA and forget about the whole board thing, but there was something in my mind telling me that im weak if i dont pass step 1 and that i would lose my self confidance all my life if i dont do it and pass step 1, so here is what i did.. i decided to take no more than 2 monthes, i registered again for step 1 and paid the money and put my exam date right when i got the orange paper from ECFMG.. ANYWAYS, i took all my materials and put it together and put a plan, and thought of what im gonna do.. my books were,, First Aid,, lippincott biochemistry, lippincott pharmocology. micro made rediculosly simple, nueroanatmory MRS.. and goljan lectures.. thats it.. i didnt 2 chapters of each book every day,, read, understood it, memorized it and put it away. never looked back at it again, when i finished the books in 1 month, i did First Aid for a week, knew it like the back of my had,, then i didnt goljan in 1 week ,then First Aid again and the last week Goljan audio lectures and first aid.. i didnt use any text books, i did these ones above and took my exam on the 14th of feb,, i was scared and freaked out but on the 8th of march my score was reported and i saw it in red color that i passed, it was the happiest day of my life, i cant describe how happy i got, i was crying, i just cant describe it.. thanx God he gave me what i wanted and now im gonna start studying for step 2 and who knows maybe this step would change my whole life from nowone.. anyways all this is to tell everybody and specially people almost giving up DONT GIVE UP ,if i can do it, anybody can do it.. lol trust me .i always doubted myself but nomore , thats it, i can do it and pass all the steps and we all can... be confidant, study well and now what you are studying and how you are studying it and you will pass.. good luck to everybody .. salam
