hello
i am an img graduated in 2006 i am relly interested in career in academics. i need help about the phd program in usa.what sort of phd programes are easily avilable for imgs.is there any stipend for the students during phd program if so what sort of phd program offer stipend.what are the job oppertunites after doing a phd regarding academic position at university and what subjects are in demand.what is the probable salary of post phd academic position in usa.

academics is fine - but u put it too vauge - wut do you picture urself teaching ? decide the subject first ..then research schools on http://gradschools.com to know about programs, get in touch with them and find about funding. normally stipends would be about 1200 $ a month to 1800$ a month, depending on the state and city.
post PhD salaries again depend upon what kind of research you do ...lucrative ones include pharma research !
