I just cant understand how to gauge that which type error is being asked like here in this quest they're asking for type 2 error...for heaven sake someone give me some tips...my exam is nera and Im freaking out.

First, p=0.13, fail to reject the null hypothesis

Type II error is failing to reject the null hypothesis when it is really false (saying the drug does not work when it really does). So it's type II error.

The question is what is the chance that we got type II error. it can be calculated from 1-power. so the answers is 0.30

I'm not sure what "commonly accepted alpha criterion" means.
