hemoglobin exhibits positive cooperativity and negative allostery, unlike myoglobin. -- from FA

Can anybody please explain this. Thanks

Myoglobin has one subunit only whereas hemoglobin has 4 subunits. Cooperation of subunits is property of those substances which have more than one subunit. Allostery is also usually present in molecules with more subunits.
