i m confused about its pathogenesis in KAPLAN.what are these M cells stand for?.

hi, dowite, if you could say what chapter you were exactly studying in Kaplan Microbiology, it would be easier to track where you are and maybe give an explanation (M cells - Macrophages?- not sure)

do you mean m cells that present antigene in the gut? associated with the peyer plaques/MALT

sorry guys, i posted my question with salmonella title but they moved my question here without the topic (my mistake).any way i was asking about salmonella pathogenesis in KAPLAN. now i get to know after searching on internet that 'M cells' are mucosal cells.the organism penetrates both thru n between the mucosal cells into lamina propria,with resulting inflammation n diarrhea. THANK U for answering my question. .
