IT IS IMP TO DISTINGUISH THESE SYMPTOMS FROM THOSE OF THE TRIPTAN FAMILY OF DRUGS USED COMMOMNLY IN THE MANAGEMENT OF MIGRAINE WHICH MAY ALSO CAUSE FEELINGS OF TIGHTNESS IN THE CHEST OR THROAT nod

Methylsergide (used for prophylaxis of migrannes) causes prolonged vasoconstriction which leads to ischemia and gangrene, and fibroplasia (eg. retriperitoneal fibrosis)
-Avoid in pregnancy.

what side effect would sumatriptan cause? Propanolol could cause depression.
