A new guide for applicants to US residency programs, "Roadmap to Residency: From Application to the Match and Beyond," describes the policies, procedures, and practices of residency application. Produced by the AAMC, with input from the AMA and other organizations, the handbook includes a description of candidacy requirements, factors involved in specialty choice, and possible criteria for residency selection.
