calcium channel blockers affect after load becoz they decrease peripheral resistance via vasodilation of arteries

suv, their vasodilatory action is mainly on the arterioles and not arteries.

malinda, dont forget they also have intrinsic natriuretic action and so do not require addition of diuretic.
