in pelvic fracture with ongoing significant bleeding, kaplan says the best treatment to diminish tthe bleeding would be external fixation. what if the bleeding still continues after external fixation? what should one do in that situation?

i´m not sure but it sounds logical to think in going to the OR = Surgery.

thanks for the response chemamr...but kaplan says that surgeries to stop bleeding in the pelvic area are not very sucessful...maybe this wont be on the exam...i sure hope it is'nt...
