hi guys, Read only if u r willing to help and got nothing important to do ..its a long post..(i sympathize with all of u reading it...Thankyou!) i just took step 1 and now i am looking into gathering material for step 2 ck. BUt its not that white n black as it was in step 1 (like kaplan, goljan brs Done qbank )...in my step 1 i made alot of mistakes first i read kaplan..that too very casually...took breaks of weeks in between...so ofcourse forgot all what i studied the following month....then i realised i not only have to read BUT REMEMBER IT too!...then i found out i have all BRS series sitting in my closet so ofcourse the kind of obssesive nature i have, i had to take a look at them too...(and i actually liked it ) then i found out HY series (specially Histology) has answers to all the weirdos that appear in qbank so in the end i had to read that too....very late in my preparation i realized i have to add all these information in FA...to give it a quick review...which took another 1 and a half month to read again and add....So ya'll get the idea how i wasted so much time going back n forth with the study material....This time i want to make it as time-efficient as possible...So guys help me with this. 1.which books are absolute must to do? 2.which book is equivalent to FA in step 2... 3.which books to do to make sure u get most of the questions if not all? 4.ANd yes, i read thru most of the exam experiences but couldnt find a clear cut answer.. Thankyou again ...u guys r great!

Hey sarika! I can relate to what you're saying.Although I haven't taken CK as yet...but the general consensus is that the kaplan UW combo works well...and thats what I am using.FA for step 2...i guess thats entirely upto you...most people recommend crush the boards.

i would recommend stick to kaplan notes and any book you feel confortable with just know the baiscs not worry about fact crunching like step 1 was like ...this is the step2 where you have to know and apply the basics in clinical setting ...lest experience in the clinicals means back to the clinical knowledge ...

Hi Sarika I know what you are talking about. I am in the same boat too. Just finished with my step 1. I heard that kaplan notes are goog and then if u have problems can refer some other book too. UW questions are also v good with kaplan notes. thats what i am going to do for starters. and crush the boards. than will see how things move.
