atherosclerosis often involve abdominal aorta, coronary artery, cerebral artery, but rarely involve carotid artery, I think so.

heard Goljan audio quite a few days ago and so I am not very sure but as far as I remember he says TIA are cos of chipping off of the atheromatous plaque in the carotid and thats the reason we put the steth on the side of the neck to hear a bruit..correct me pls if I am wrong..thanx

I think the reason may be young adults are not that much troubled with atherosclerosis ...

I thought IVDA have rightsided emboli (tricuspid) & these do not enter systemic circulation unless u have a Rt & Lt communicaion like VSD. Agreed that atherosclerosis is rare in younger age group. Based on this, the answer seems to be C / D. Any comments?

B is the correct answer, as linaorvos said, because of the age.
