Hi friends, After going thr' half of USMLE I have noticed that, if you will remember by heart all "the drug of choice" for a particular situation, that can be very helpful. Becuase in a block I think there are atleast 7 to 8 question, or more, asking directly the drug of choice. This is also true for the test of choice, which we can divede in two parts, "the best next first test"(most sensitive test mostly) and "the best test"(diagnostic-specific test). So if we can prepare a list of this things I think we will be thr' for almost 25 to 30 questions atleast/block very easily and quickly. If any body has prepared such a list, please put it on the forum. We all will highly appreciate that. And in other case, those of you who are preparing for the test, we all can form a group and can prepare such a list. If you wanna join me, PM me. And if you have the list, I will simply LOVE you, as I am a bit lazy. . Just kidding. Will be waiting for ur reply, Take care,

Hey Drbee, Achilles, and reet, Thank you all for prompt reply. I have started preparing such list. But I am sure as I will go along the U world and other materials, will come to know new and new things. But definately that think works. E.g. just yday there was a question in the U wolrd with all the description and classical patho. slide of Hairy cell leukemia. Now by reading the Kaplan only who will know about "Cladribine". Specially in CVS also, the drug of choice for particular arrythmias are very important. So start preparing that, and in between when you have enough, just post it in this post. Nway, bye for now, take care.

There are no files per se drbee... We could have seperate posts for each system perhaps(and may be have 1 or 2 ppl "incharge" of updating that particular post) and then keep adding info there disease/condition wise.Lets see what the others come up with...I am sure we could work out something...and the sooner we do it the better.I am actually quite excited about this!My brain is fried at the moment though....hehe...I hope I made some sense here...

Here is the things guys, What we are going to do is that I will post a word documents, with heading of most of the topics of medicine like CVS, CNS, ENDo and so on. I will post it and will try to add the DOC as many as I remember and have right now. We can give couple of pages for each topic. Now, when ever any of us, will have some more content, the person will down load the last posted list from here. So it will be containg all the contents which all of us will have accumulated. That person will add his/her DOC for the condition. and will post that again. So that way we all will have a single list and we all will go on adding in that. But please make sure to not to duplicate the things. Or if there is any doubt or correction, let other know and take a second opinion, so that we can have reliable list. If we can get some good and quick response, we can also add the best initial test and the best diagnostic test list in that. I am sure if 4 or 5 of us will contribute in that seriously, by the end of month, we will have a handy material of few word document. That we can revise on the previous day and can get atleast 90 to 100 questions (atleast I am sure) from that in our exam. Right now I am running behind my U world pre-determined schedule. And my subscription is getting over in 15 days and still I am remaining with 900 questions. So I may post that word document tmrw or day after tmrw. But any of you can do that, all of us will appreciate his/her initiation. Any suggestion? Lets crush the USMLE step II guys. Bye,

Guys. Count me in. I have just started prep and I could do some topics. I have already started highlighting the first test, best test and DOC in my kaplan notes. This is a good idea to compile them.

Hello friends, I am so sorry for becoming a bit lazy. But I am so busy nowadays, so didn't get time to collect all different items from cornerns of my all books and notes. So I couldn't post the list today. As would you all mind if we distribute topic? Say I would love to do, CVS and CNS. If you all can also take some of the topics, and thn work on that topic only as far as DOC is concerned. Also Psychitri is very important is that manner. So just for getting ourselves started, we will have to start. Let me type some very basic in the word document and post it here tmrw. Do reply me.

Hello friends, Here I am posting the first initiating kind of list. I have just put down what ever condition I could think of. Because as I had told you, I am having such a tight time, so could put down all the things. But I will keep on updating the list. And once I will thr' U world and will have a breather, I will put as many as I can. So just have a look over it, and if any correction of any mistake I have done, just let me know. And please start expanding the list. Please download this list from here, add whatever you are ready with, and post it again. And Amygdalaa, sorry dude, I read your post right now after I have prepared my first one. But from next time I ll be also including the diangostic part. Also start taking the topics you would like to work on. I am workign on CVS and CNS and amygdalaa is working on GIT and RS i guess. What ever. Reply after reviewing this, Bye and take care.

Hi Drjay, Please don't give me credit for something I didn't do. I did not compile this list. Some kind soul did and posted it in one of the forums at another website. I came across it and thought I would share the link with everyone. He/she deserves all the credit. Like you I am grateful to this hardworking, kind soul. We all benefit from his/her efforts.

hi guys.this is a nice effort going on by u guys.just to let u guys know the above list posted by maylea is actually made up of the points of questions of usmleworld. and there are a few corrections to drjaypatel list.in third degree heart block,or heart block refractory to atropine.next step is PACEMAKER.(NOT SHOCK). The treatment for parkinsons is as follows.only tremor less than 60-benztropine/trihexyphenidyl only tremor more than 60yrs-amantadine many symptoms of parkinsons disease -give carbidopa/levodopa on and off fluctuations in a patient on carbidopa/levodopa--give him ropirinole/pramipexole/selegiline/COMT inhibitors. to arrest progression of disease-selegiline. secondly there is also a slight problem in treatment of acute asthma attack-oxygen,beta agonists,steroids-next step use either aminophylline or ipratropium.. good luck guys.i have my exam in a few days and these lists are quick revision tools and helpful for everyone.thanks
