I plan to take step 1 in July, hopefully in the begining og July. Compared to others that have taken this exam I think I am really bad, 4 moths to go and not a single in depth reading of all the subjects... I have used elseviers' qbank as a diagnostig tool 2 weeks ago - and my results for random 50q banks were in 55-=66% range, with worst results in physiology. TODO: I have this week to finish physiology, kaplan notes and some questions. A year ago I have read BRS physiology, hope to review this also these days... When in faculty I have used Guyton and West's physiology. I find these physiology very difficult to do without large practice, and tend to skip physiology qs - they seem to take so much time... but practice makes perfect, so here we go back to study. Then it will come pharmacology and then pathology... That would finish my first ever complete reading. - This is the highest wisdom that I own; freedom and life are earned by those alone who conquer them each day anew. Johann Wolfgang von Goethe

hey guys please tell if you aim for this year match. I'm not sure what to do myself. Is enough time to study for both steps? Thanks and good luck.

Hi everybody! let's do it! I plan to do BRS physio 3rd ed in 3-4 days. I've read 2nd edition some time ago, that would be smth like 100pg with qs.. I guess it really a lot, just hope I'll be able to do it... Starting right now! == I don't think it's possible to get very high scores and go for this year match... maybe just pass, or who knows, depends onhow good smb feels about his/her knowledge... and the qs he/she gets right... I guess the dates you find on this ECFMG diploma I found on flickr are close to real time:

Really hard times... these days I should have been studying 100%, nothing else to do but studying - and I did not manage to finish BRS yet. Done some qbank... and decided to come back to the time-police I used some time ago.. and count my every bit of time so that I may see how much time I do waste. In the last 4 days managed to study ~22h - that's awfull. more! I hope for 1-2 days to finish BRS.

keep up the good work. I feel it's easier to substract from something you're not pleased with, rather than add to it. 22+ !

I hope by tomorrow to finish pharmacology for the first time (kaplan notes), with pathology remaining. Now my weekest point is neuroanatomy, I am looking forward to start first review, with FA and lots and lots of Qs.

Thank you guys - really helps knowing you all are here! discovered the new posts button on this forum and it will be easy to scan the forums for new posts... finished KLN pharma, and went directly to goljan path. Done 5 chapters, should have done more, most of the info is in other KLN books (immuno, molec biology, biochemistry). Should have done some MCQs for pharma, I am really sure I need to rework and review pharma, but I am really getting obsessed to start my first review... path to go and then my wekest point will be neuroanatomy... and I will start my first review. I hope to finish as soon as possible Goljan's pathology, it is really nice... All is ok if you are determined to do it, that's the thing. All goes well then... Tomorrow neoplasia and more...
