hi guys, i´m gonna take my step 3 this thursday-friday. I want to ask your help and advices for the time management. which would be the best approach for it? f. ex: 1st day: 4 blocks of MCQ in a row, then 45 min of lunch and continue with other 3 blocks. Or is it better to take a minute or several between each block?? what is more recommendable? i know this is kind of personal thing, but i would like an expert advice mainly those guys who are done with this step 3. thank you

i took 10 min after each 2 blocks. doing 4 blocks at once would be exhausting for me.

do you mean, for example: 2 blocks- 10 minutes, 2 blocks -25 minutes (lunch), 2 blocks-10 min, 2 blocks (end of 1st day) something like that??

chemamr! Good luck for your exam. Have u done NBME already? I think you took step3 already b4 I read this post. So you have no plan to go match? i took last week cos i want the result b4 match. Hopefully the result will be ready on that time. I took 2 blocks without break and took short break(I didn't go out from room) and long break alternately. We need some fresh mind for next block. But in 2nd day, too much break time cos ccs finished early. Good luck again!

no, i didn´t do NBME. My exam is past tomorrow, march 2nd and 3rd. thanks for your wishes for my exam. I´m taking it to not be worried about it during my residency, not for visa issues, maybe i could have done it before but i wanted to be sure to pass it at the 1st attempt. see you

I did first 2 block together (on both day-1 and 2)-took break for 5 min. after that for each block i took 5 minute break. Not really 5 minute break...just take a walk---sign out... walk outside...if need to take water or go to rest rooms. Eat a small snack or turn a page on the magazine left there... the aim is to free the mind for a while. I think it is very relaxing to take a break every hour. I use to crunch and munch during every break and hence no need a for a full lunch! for each CCS case I took a break except in a very cool OP case. If any case which had given you enough anxiety.... never miss the chance to break.... Good Break HP
