if grandfather affected by a disease,then what is the formula for probability in grand son?I mean how does the mutations probability flow in generations?1/2-->1/8...

Grandson has 25% chance to inherit genes from his grandfather. so he has 50% chance to be carrier.

is it for all types of inheritence..AD,AR,XD,XR..? Aa--------AA(1st generation) Aa-----------(2nd generation) AA(third generation)...how does the probability flow..first will have 25%,2nd will have 50%,third will have 75%????? kaplan says grand father=1/2 father=1/4 grand son=1/8????

It's for autosomal recessive. If We calculate from grandfather generation, the probability of this generation is always=100% If grandfather = 1/2, there will be generations above grandfather (grand-grandfather)
