Can anyone pl explain me wat is zonula adherens and macula adherens?

Yes I know it's science fiction I have just read the subject.

The zonula adherens are adhesives bands surrounding the ephithelial cells, these bands serve to attach the adiacent cells. It contains cadherins(some proteins) that link the actin filaments from one cell to the actin filaments of the other cell. The macula adherens is the desmosome . The desmosomes are punctate bonds not zone seals. They are rounds spots and contains cadherin like proteins called desmogleins and desmocolins which have the same role to hold the cells togheter.
