Hi .I just graduated from med school ,and wanted to join Ph Dprograms for surgery in USA .I am interested in PhD because I am told PhD doesnt need ECFMG certification.IS it true?
I am appearring for Step 1 next month anyways and will sooon try to clear the other steps as well
Please letme know the websites where I can find such programs?

PhD in surgery wont allow you to practice in this country either ...u can only do research and / or academics
if u want to practice - u HAVE to be ECFMG certified...which means you have to give the USMLE exams....
